Purpose

Clark Public Utilities provides water service to over 40,000 homes and businesses, mostly in unincorporated Clark County. Currently, the Town of Yacolt is on one of Clark Public Utilities’ satellite water systems, separate from the main regional water system.

As a part of our commitment to providing reliable and safe drinking water to customers living in the Town of Yacolt, now and into the future, Yacolt’s water supply will soon be connected to Clark Public Utilities’ main system.

Benefits

Connecting the Yacolt satellite system to our main system will improve water quality and availability in Yacolt, while ensuring adequate supply to support future growth and fire suppression.

Timeline & Status Updates

This project is currently in the contractor bidding process in accordance with public bidding requirements. Summer of 2026 is the estimated start date. The watermain installation will occur west of Yacolt proper – NE Yacolt Mountain Rd west of Kelly Road, extending in NE Yacolt Mountain Rd to NE Kelly Rd, in NE Kelly Rd to WH Garner Rd, and in WH Garner Rd to the Town of Yacolt. While we do anticipate traffic delays as we work in the roadways, every effort will be made to minimize disruptions as we work on this system improvement project.
