Purpose
Clark Public Utilities provides water service to over 40,000 homes and businesses in unincorporated Clark County. As a part of our commitment to providing reliable and safe water service to customers living in the unincorporated Battle Ground area now and into the future, the utility has identified a set of necessary system improvement projects. The SE Grace and NE 142nd Ave Water Main Replacement Project will replace approximately 7,800 linear feet of aging water pipe in two areas. One along NE 142nd Avenue between NE 159th Street and SE 39th Street, and the other along SE Grace Avenue between SE 30th Street and SE Eaton Boulevard.
Benefits
Existing infrastructure in the area is no longer sufficient to support the growing community. The new water main will be larger diameter pipe, doubling in size to improve water flow, service reliability and fire protection throughout the area. This project is necessary for current residents and to support new housing planned for the area. Once complete, this project will ensure long-term reliable access to clean water for the entire area.
