Purpose
Clark Public Utilities provides water service to over 40,000 homes and businesses in unincorporated Clark County. As a part of our commitment to providing reliable and safe water service to customers living in the unincorporated Battle Ground area now and into the future, the utility has identified a set of necessary system improvement projects.
This Water Main Replacement Project is located in NE 170th Avenue from NE 159th Street to NE 169th Street, in NE 169th St from NE 170th Ave to NE 167th Ave and in NE 167th Ave from NE 169th St to NE 199th St. The project will install approximately 11,400 feet of 8-inch water main and appurtenances to upgrade from existing 4- and 6-inch water mains.
Work includes; attaching part of the new water main to an existing bridge over Salmon Creek and Morgan Creek, installing new water services, pavement and trench restoration.
Benefits
Existing infrastructure in the area is no longer sufficient to support the growing community. The new water main will be larger diameter pipe to improve water flow, service reliability and fire protection throughout the area. Once complete, this project will ensure long-term reliable access to clean water for the entire area.
Timeline & Status Updates
Work is scheduled to begin fall of 2025. Every effort will be made to minimize impacts to local residents. This page will be updated with any updates or new information. Thank you for your patience as we work!
