How LIHEAP Grants Can Help

The federal Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides grants to help eligible residents pay for a range of home heating fuels:

  • Electricity
  • Natural Gas
  • Oil
  • Wood
  • Propane

Clark Public Utilities has partnered with Clark County to administer the LIHEAP program for all residents, regardless of heating fuel type.

Who Qualifies for LIHEAP Grants?

Currently about 2,500 to 3,000 Clark County households receive federal LIHEAP grants each year. If you would like to apply, we’ll help you determine your eligibility based on factors such as income, household size and typical heating costs for your home.

How to Apply

Just call our toll-free number at 1-855-353-HEAT (4328) to find out if you meet the basic requirements for financial assistance with your bill. If you do, we’ll set up an appointment to determine your eligibility for LIHEAP grants plus other utility and community assistance programs.

Note: At your energy assistance eligibility appointment, you must provide proof of all household income for the previous four months; social security cards for all household members (adults and children); and a fuel bill showing your home address.
