Knotweed Survey

Help us search high and low for one of the most devious and devastating of all of the invasive weeds, knotweed! You must be able to navigate over uneven terrain and through thick vegetation. You might also enter the water. Long sleeves and pants are recommended. Training and tools provided at all events. Please wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes – rainboots or waders provided upon request. Planting Leader Training

Do you have what it takes to be a leader? Clark Public Utilities StreamTeam will be training leaders to coordinate a group of planting volunteers during events. The team leader will demonstrate how to plant trees at our Make a Difference Day Celebration (October 26 or Earth Day Fest (April 18) while educating volunteers and fostering a safe and enjoyable environment. Garlic Mustard Pull

Help StreamTeam and Eradication Nation restore our watershed by removing invasive garlic mustard! Invasive plants prevent the growth of native plants, which impacts fish and wildlife by decreasing the diversity and abundance of our native insect populations from which they depend. Watershed Reflections Art Contest

Clark County students in grades 3-12 are invited to submit a piece of art that represents the theme “What is a Watershed?” The deadline for entries will be announced at a later date. Stay tuned to find out when we will hold our award ceremony. The top written word entry is invited to read their piece at the ceremony.
