Pollinator Festival
Kids Activities
Plenty for kids to see and do at this pollination celebration of birds, butterflies and bees (and beetles and flies, oh my!). All our crafts and activities will connect children to the many types of pollinators flying around our world.
Bring your family to PowerZone booths for these fun activities:
- Make a Bee Buzzer
- Color a Pollinator Button
- Plant a Sunflower
- Temporary Pollinator Tattoos
Kids can watch bees in action inside a demo hive, stroll by farmers market booths for fresh food (did you know 75% of our food crops depend on pollinators to some extent?) and enjoy some summer tunes! Oh, and swing by the Clark Public Utilities water wagon for a cool drink.
Older kids will appreciate the hopeful and action-oriented information that our keynote speaker, author and professor Doug Tallamy will share at his 1:00 p.m. presentation, Nature’s Best Hope.
