Maintenance
After volunteers spend
time planting trees and making sure the native saplings go into the
ground correctly, we need volunteers to spend a day with the StreamTeam
to make sure the trees survive.
Our projects exhibit 85 percent survivability!
This low mortality rate is directly related to the steadfast volunteers who join us in the field to water, mow and remove exotic species. All of their hard work allows the trees to grow and shade out many exotic species (i.e. Reed Canary Grass, English Ivy, and Himalayan Blackberry) while reducing erosion and increasing water quality.
Maintenance events occur
predominately in the summer months.

us know how you'd like to help.
