It's easy to participate!
You make a separate contribution that appears on your regular bill. Your money is pooled with contributions from thousands of other Northwest utility customers to support the development of new, non-polluting energy resources in our region. There is no long-term agreement needed.
You choose the number of 100 kilowatt-hour "blocks" of Green Lights power you wish to buy. Each block of Green Lights power costs $1.50. If you buy one block, you’ll pay $1.50 more than the "normal" price for that same electricity each month. Use the Green Lights Benefit Calculator to see the impact you can make with your purchase.
The Green Lights funds are managed by the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, which provides us assurance that your dollars are making a difference – being reinvested in the next generation of non-polluting energy resources or supporting efforts to improve the health of our streams, rivers and fish populations.
The BEF is devoting a portion of Green Lights purchases to projects right here in Clark County. Those projects can include installing solar panels on commercial buildings or working with local community groups to restore critical watersheds. So the more interest our customers have in the Green Lights program, the more dollars we will see invested locally in projects that benefit Clark County.
