Loans and rebates

We offer loans to help you invest in solar technology for your home.

Here are the three loan options we offer:

• Up to $10,000 to install solar domestic water-heating technology
• Up to $10,000 to install a solar pool-heating system 
• Up to $30,000 to install a photovoltaic system that will generate electricity for use in your home
  

We will provide you with technical assistance, a list of approved contractors, review and approve the installation contract and process your loan application. The contractor you select will secure the necessary building permits and install your solar system. Clark Public Utilities will inspect the system to ensure you have a proper installation. Once the installation is approved, we will issue the rebate check (for domestic water heating systems) and payment to the contractor.

We have partnered with local contractors who are "Bright Way"-certified and qualified to undertake solar technology installations. We will inspect all systems installed through our loan program to ensure high-quality work.
