Safety

We take safety seriously. Yours and ours. This section of our website brings you information about ways you can stay safe around electricity both indoors and outdoors.

SafeWatch logoWe often have people at work in your neighborhood. If our employees find you stranded or in danger we will help. If your children need help they can wave down any of our vehicles and the driver will assist them. That's what the SafeWatch logo on our cars and trucks means.

You'll see us at safety fairs teaching children about safety around electricity. It's also stressed when they visit our operations center on the popular student tour in elementary school. Everyone should know what to do ...for electrical fires and ...for shock.

There are times we request your help to keep our employees safe... like asking you not to plug a back-up generator into a wall outlet in your home without first disconnecting from our system. If you do, power from your generator may flow backwards into our power lines and seriously injure or kill our line repair workers.

We're helping to keep our community a safe place to live and work.
