Make a Difference Day Celebration

The StreamTeam celebrated Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 27, with Washington State University Vancouver.
Volunteers celebrated this national day of service by planting more than 900 native trees. Thanks to Corwin Beverage, Tommy O's, Frito-Lay, Sunrise Bagels, Starbucks, Simply Sweets by Jen, Cakes by Design, Waste Connections, KEEN, Applewood Restaurant and Bar, and Donut Nook for their generous donations.
There were a variety of different ways to be involved in the Stream Team's Make a Difference Day Celebration:
StreamTeam Tree Planter
Volunteers spend four hours planting native trees to save salmon and will receive all of the training and supplies necessary. The tree planting is a four hour commitment and is held rain or shine. Preregistration is required due to limited space.
StreamTeam Leader
Leaders are StreamTeam volunteers who have received special training in the art of leading tree planting team members. Leaders are very knowledgeable volunteers who work alongside planting volunteers to make sure everyone has a great day. Training is held prior to the event.
StreamTeam Logistics Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to help set-up before the event and clean-up after the event. This is a vital role for the success of our event!
StreamTeam Photographer
The Team uses an intermediate to advanced photographer who is interested in taking digital photos to document the event but also to capture the volunteer spirit. This is an outdoor opportunity. Photographers must provide their own equipment for a great day in the field.
Recycle Team
Help the team put on a sustainable event! Join the recycle team to assist attendees as they sort their waste. Training, gloves and equipment provided for this important task force!
