Project Vancouver Water Resources Education Center
Location: 4600 SE Columbia Way - Vancouver
Description: This 1 kW solar energy project, installed at the Vancouver Water Resources Education Center is tied directly into the electrical system and provides clean, renewable energy. It’s also an educational opportunity for students and the community to learn more about solar energy as a viable source of power for our future. An added benefit is the fact that the solar panels are manufactured locally from silicone crystals grown by Shell in Vancouver, Washington.

The project consists of a six-panel solar array. The panels are Sharp NE-170U1, 170 watt modules. The inverter is a SMA Sunny Boy 1800 with RS 485 communication card.
Completion date: November 2006
