Our actions and views are our values at work. They demonstrate our commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and our communities.
As the demand for electricity grows, it's important to encourage the development of renewable energy. For less than $2 a month you can support this development through our Green Lights program.
Clark Public Utilities has taken an active and visible role in protecting and improving our natural environment in the Salmon Creek basin since 1992.
You can participate by:
- volunteering to work with our StreamTeam to protect and restore the Salmon Creek Watershed with tree planting and other activities.
- becoming a Stream Steward by attending a series of Saturday classes and then participating in volunteer activities to "pay back" your learning.
- helping to identify, report and eradicate invasive plants in our watersheds.
We think about stewardship in many ways. We use natural resources and energy efficiently to reduce waste and emissions at their source. We live this value and exhibit this commitment in many ways - through wetlands restoration projects, habitat protection and enhancement programs, and air emission reduction efforts.
We are also partner with others to improve environmental education in the community. Learn about Columbia Springs where Clark Public Utilities is a founding partner of an outstanding environmental education opportunity.
