Wayne W. Nelson has been CEO/General Manager of Clark Public Utilities since January 1999. Before becoming general manager, he was Clark's general counsel for nearly 10 years. He still retains that title.
Prior to coming to the utility Wayne was a partner in the Vancouver law firm of Blair Schaefer Hutchison & Wynne.
Wayne grew up in Hazel Dell, graduating from Columbia River High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Washington and his law degree at the Lewis & Clark College/Northwest School of Law in Portland.
